Fractal Structure of Equipotential Curves on a Continuum Percolation Model

چکیده
We numerically investigate the electric potential distribution over a twodimensional continuum percolation model between the electrodes. The model consists of overlapped conductive particles on the background with an infinitesimal conductivity. Using the finite difference method, we solve the generalized Laplace equation and show that in the potential distribution, there appear the quasi-equipotential clusters which approximately and locally have the same values like steps and stairs. Since the quasi-equipotential clusters have the fractal structure, we compute the fractal dimension of equipotential curves and its dependence on the volume fraction over [0, 1]. The fractal dimension in [1.00, 1.246] has a peak at the percolation threshold pc.

A model for modified electrode with carbon nanotube composites using percolation theory in fractal space
We introduce a model for prediction the behavior of electrodes which modified withcarbon nanotubes in a polymer medium. These kinds of polymer composites aredeveloped in recent years, and experimental data for its percolation threshold isavailable. We construct a model based on percolation theory and fractal dimensionsand using experimental percolation threshold for calculating the moments of c...

Fractal Structure Near the Percolation Threshold for YBa2Cu3O7 Epitaxial Films
Inhomogeneity of the properties of YBcr2Cu307 epitaxial c-oriented films has been investigated. Using a low temperature SEM the lateral distribution of local critical temperature has been determined with spatial resolution of 2 pm. The technique provides a direct observation of the percolative character of the superconducting transition on a microbridge scale. It is shown for the first time tha...
متن کاملSimulation of Heterogeneous Soil Water Flow Using the Active Region Model
Preferential flow in the unsaturated soil is an important and common phenomenon, which is difficult to be characterized. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the Active Region Model (ARM), which incorporated the fractal flow patterns into the continuum approach, has been developed to characterize preferential water flow in the unsaturated zone. Experiments were conducted to measure water ...
متن کاملUniversal Behavior of Connectivity Properties in Fractal Percolation Models
Partially motivated by the desire to better understand the connectivity phase transition in fractal percolation, we introduce and study a class of continuum fractal percolation models in dimension d ≥ 2. These include a scale invariant version of the classical (Poisson) Boolean model of stochastic geometry and (for d = 2) the Brownian loop soup introduced by Lawler and Werner. The models lead t...
